What is Outbreak Assault?
Outbreak Assault is a Zombie Survival Simulation in a 6-storey abandoned building. Clear room after room and fight horde after horde of zombies wanting to eat your brains out. Can you survive the chaos? Or will you surrender to the flesh-eating fiends?
What makes it different from Outbreak Missions?
You’ll be saying goodbye to flagbelts (for the meantime) and hello to firearms. You are now equipped with the necessary gear to COMBAT the living dead.
I’ve never ran my entire life. Can I still join?
Of course! Let’s get this out of the way, folks—Outbreak Manila isn’t only about people who run the fastest. Nor is it only about people who run PERIOD. It’s also about people who love zombies, and getting freaked out of their minds! And now in Outbreak Assault, you will focus more on fighting the zombies rather than running away from them.
Is there an age limit?
Everyone's safety is our number one concern. Yes, it sounds ironic considering we're unleashing the living dead to the people. With that, you have to be 18 years old and above to participate.
Do we get guns?
Yes! What cooler way is there to combat the living dead? Check out The Gear to see some of the cool toys you get to play with.
When and where is the event?
The Outbreak continues to spread on October 18 , 2014 in "The Office" in Tomas Morato. Get ready to lock and load!
Do we have any other weapons aside from the guns?
The guns we’re lending you are enough to combat the dead. At any point you get in contact with them, you will be considered infected and at the end of the course, you will be disposed of by the military. We HIGHLY suggest you do not touch or get in contact with the zombies up close (You may not hit, kick, shove or box any of the zombies at any point. Should you happen to do so, our military personnel will escort you out of the area with no refunds. You also have to buy the injured zombie dinner in a restaurant of his choosing).
What are these prop guns? How do they work?
The prop guns you will be using are 1:1 airsoft replicas. They function just like their real steel counterparts. They operate by filling up the magazine with gas. They will pop and recoil just like the real thing but not as loud, and not as harsh. They will also run out of “ammo.” Due to the nature of the event however, we will not have any projectiles leaving the barrel of the prop gun. This is for simulation purposes only. If the gun will not fire any bullets, how will the zombie know he’s hit?
All the zombies are all graduates of the Outbreak Manila Zombie school and are specifically trained to react appropriately to each gunshot. Some will take them down, others will just slow them down, the rest… will just get angrier.
Do we have unlimited ammunition?
This isn’t a video game with a cheat code. You will probably have around 15 shots per magazine. When you run out, there will be reload stations on certain levels.
Follow up question: How will I know if I’ve run out of ammo?
You’ve run out of ammo when your gun stops cycling. You better not get caught without ammo while a flesh eater is coming for you. Else, you would be fresh meat!
I’ve never operated any kind of firearm before. I’m scared to use them!
Don’t worry, you will all be briefed by your guide on how to properly operate the firearm. He will also share basic military formations and room clearing techniques to help you get through the course.
What happened to the flag belts?
The flag belts are gone (for now). We’re taking the Outbreak Manila Zombie world up a notch by giving you guys the experience of a lifetime! This is not a run, this is a Zombie Survival Simulation.
So… How do I know if I’m dead?
Any physical contact with the zombies might result in contamination or infection. At the end of the course, our Infectious Disease Containment Crew (IDCC) will check you with special scanners for any signs of the virus. Don’t let the zombies get near you!
